Maternity Leave
Leave around childbirth for female employees
Maternity leave is the legal right of female employees to leave around childbirth. The leave lasts at least 16 weeks, divided into pregnancy leave (4-6 weeks before the due date) and maternity leave (10-12 weeks after birth). During the leave, the employee receives a benefit from the UWV equal to 100% of the daily wage.
