Vaststellingsovereenkomst

Settlement agreement (vaststellingsovereenkomst)

An agreement to terminate the employment relationship by mutual consent.

A settlement agreement (vaststellingsovereenkomst) (VSO) is an agreement by which the employer and employee mutually agree to terminate the employment relationship. The advantage for the employee is that the right to a WW benefit is retained, provided that the correct notice period is observed and there is no blame attributable to the employee. The employee has a 14-day cooling-off period after signing to revoke the agreement.

In a settlement agreement (vaststellingsovereenkomst), the employee usually retains the right to WW.
