An organisation that represents the interests of employees.
A trade union is an organisation that represents the interests of employees. The main tasks are negotiating collective labour agreements (CAOs), providing legal assistance to members, and advocating for employees' rights. In the Netherlands, FNV, CNV and VCP are the largest trade unions. Membership is voluntary and the contributions are tax deductible. Labour migrants can also become members of a Dutch trade union.
