TWV (Tewerkstellingsvergunning)
TWV (work permit)
A permit to allow an employee from outside the EU/EEA to work in the Netherlands.
The employment permit (TWV) is a permit that an employer must apply for with the UWV to allow an employee from outside the EU/EEA to work in the Netherlands. The employer must demonstrate that no suitable candidate is available within the EU. EU/EEA nationals and Swiss nationals do not need a TWV. The TWV is applied for by the employer, not by the employee.
“EU citizens do not need a TWV to work in the Netherlands.”
