Piece Rate
Payment per produced piece or unit
Piece rate is a form of compensation where the employee is paid per produced piece or unit instead of per hour worked. The piece rate must be such that an employee earning normal performance earns at least the minimum wage. In sectors with many labour migrants, such as agriculture and horticulture, piece rate pay is common.
