Agreements on consequences of reorganization for employees
A social plan is a document with agreements between the employer and trade unions or works council about the consequences of a reorganization for employees. It contains arrangements for severance payments, redeployment, retraining, and guidance to other work. A social plan is not legally required but is often drawn up during major reorganizations.
“The social plan contains agreements on compensation and guidance during the reorganization.”
