reintegration obligation
A joint obligation of employer and employee to work towards resuming work in case of illness.
The reintegration obligation means that employer and employee must work together on returning to (other) work in case of illness, as set out in an action plan. The UWV assesses, upon a WIA application, whether both parties have made sufficient effort in this regard; insufficient effort can result in a wage sanction.
