min-max contract
A contract with a fixed minimum and maximum number of hours to be worked.
A min-max contract is an employment agreement setting out a minimum number of hours to be worked and a maximum number of hours the employee can be called in for. Unlike a zero-hours contract, the employee here has certainty about a guaranteed minimum number of hours and thus a guaranteed minimum wage.
