Continuation of wages during illness
The employer's obligation to continue paying wages during illness.
Continuation of pay during illness is the statutory obligation of the employer to continue paying the salary of a sick employee for a maximum of 104 weeks (2 years). In the first year, at least 70% of the salary must be continued to be paid, with a minimum of the statutory minimum wage. In the second year, at least 70% also applies, but without the minimum guarantee. The employer additionally has a reintegration obligation.
