Chain Regulation

Max 3 temporary contracts in 3 years

The chain regulation stipulates that an employer may conclude a maximum of three temporary employment contracts within a period of three years. If this limit is exceeded, a permanent employment contract is automatically created. There must be a gap of more than six months between contracts to break the chain.

Under the chain regulation, an employer may offer a maximum of three temporary contracts within three years.
