Redeployment Obligation
Employer's duty to offer employee an alternative position
The redeployment obligation means that an employer must first investigate whether the employee can be placed in another suitable position within the company before dismissal. This is a requirement for dismissal via the UWV or court. The employer must actively search for possibilities, potentially including retraining.
