Year-end Bonus
Extra payment at the end of the year / 13th month
The year-end bonus is an extra payment that employees receive at the end of the year, often referred to as the thirteenth month. The right to a year-end bonus is not legally established but can arise from the collective agreement, employment contract, or company policy. The amount usually varies between half a month's salary and a full month's salary.
“The year-end bonus, also called the thirteenth month, is usually paid in December.”
