BRP Registration
Registration in the Personal Records Database
BRP registration (Personal Records Database) is the mandatory registration with the municipality for anyone staying in the Netherlands for more than four months. After registration, the labour migrant receives a BSN (citizen service number) needed for work, taxes, health insurance, and other government services. Without BRP registration, it is difficult to work and live in the Netherlands.
