Working Conditions Act (Arbowet)
The Act that lays down rules for healthy and safe working conditions.
The Working Conditions Act (Arbowet) sets rules for healthy and safe working conditions. The employer is required to implement an occupational health and safety policy, draw up a risk inventory and evaluation (RI&E), and organise company emergency response. The Arbowet is supplemented by the Working Conditions Decree (Arbobesluit) and the Working Conditions Regulations (Arboregeling) with more specific provisions. The Netherlands Labour Authority (Inspectie SZW) supervises compliance.
