The inability to perform suitable work due to illness or impairment.
Incapacity for work means that a person is unable, due to illness or impairment, to (fully) perform suitable work. After two years of illness an employee can apply for a WIA benefit, whereby the UWV determines the degree of incapacity for work and the corresponding benefit.
