Labour Inspectorate
Supervisory body for working conditions and labour law
The Labour Inspectorate (officially: Netherlands Labour Authority) is the government agency that supervises compliance with labour legislation, including working conditions, working hours, and fair work. The inspectorate can visit workplaces, conduct investigations, and impose fines for violations. For labour migrants, the inspectorate also plays a role in combating exploitation and illegal employment.
“The Labour Inspectorate can impose fines on employers who violate the Working Conditions Act.”
